SuperExpat is committed to maintaining a safe and respectful environment for all users. This policy outlines the actions taken based on the severity and frequency of content violations. Enforcement applies to members, groups, businesses, and job postings.
Levels of Offenses & Consequences
Offenses are categorized into three levels: Minor, Moderate, and Severe. Actions escalate based on the nature and recurrence of the violation, as outlined below.
Chat and Group Violations:
Offense Level | Examples | Actions Taken |
Level 1: Minor | Mild profanity, off-topic posts, low-quality content, first-time minor infractions | Removal of offensive content within 24 hours, plus: 1. Friendly warning 2. Second offense → Formal warning 3. Third offense → 48-hour restriction |
Level 2: Moderate | Harassment, repeated offensive language, inappropriate images, rule circumvention | Removal of offensive content within 24 hours, plus: 1. First offense → Formal warning 2. Second offense → five-day suspension 3. Third offense → ten-day suspension or account review |
Level 3: Severe | Hate speech, threats of violence, doxxing, scams, hacking attempts | Removal of offensive content within 24 hours, plus: 1. Immediate two-week suspension 2. Admin review → Possible permanent ban |
Business & Job Listing Violations:
Offense Level | Examples | Actions Taken |
Level 1: Minor | Misleading claims, vague descriptions, low-quality content | 1. Warning + correction request (48 hours) 2. Failure to correct → seven-day suspension 3. Third offense → ten-day restriction on re-listing |
Level 2: Moderate | Deceptive content, unapproved images, copyright violations | 1. Immediate content removal + warning 2. Second offense → fourteen-day suspension 3. Third offense → one-month suspension or permanent removal |
Level 3: Severe | Illegal activities, fraud, hate speech, repeat violations | 1. Immediate listing removal + 60-day suspension 2. Second offense → Permanent ban |
Enforcement & Appeals
- Admins review all reported violations on a case-by-case basis.
- Appeals must be submitted within 14 days of enforcement to [email protected].
- Decisions on Level 3 offenses are final.
- Users and businesses receive notifications via email and in-app messaging regarding warnings and actions.
Reporting & Review Process
- User Reports: Members can report violations with an explanation.
- Admin Review: Admins assess reports and determine necessary action.
- Action Taken: If needed, content is removed, and restrictions are applied.
- Escalation: Repeated or severe violations lead to stronger enforcement measures.
